Walk around your property and check off these critical fire-safety items to protect your home.

📋 The Structure (Roof & Sides)

    • [ ] Gutters and roof valleys are completely clear of dead leaves.

    • [ ] Eave vents are screened with 1/8-inch metal mesh to prevent ember entry.

    • [ ] No firewood or trash is stored against outside walls or under decks.

🌳 The Surroundings (0–30 Feet)

    • [ ] All dead grass is mowed down to a maximum height of 4 inches.

    • [ ] Tree branches are trimmed up at least 6 feet from the ground.

    • [ ] A 5-foot completely clear "ember-resistant zone" surrounds the foundation.
